SIDNEY "CHUCK" STERCHELE, 71,   Orlando, FL, passed away Sunday, June 22, 2003 from injuries sustained from an automobile accident. Mr. Sterchele was the President of Central Florida Veterans Association, Founder and President of the Central Florida Veterans Memorial Park Foundation, and Chairman of the Orange County Chairman's Veterans Advisory Council. He was also a consultant in audio/video services to the electronic industry. He moved to Orlando five years ago.

 

His survivors include a sister, Catherine Smith of Columbus, OH, a brother James Sterchele of Orlando, FL, sons Michael of Richmond, VA, Richard of Danvers, MA, John of West Palm Beach, FL,, and a daughter, Patricia Kopp of Oakdale, NY, and four grandchildren. His extended family includes: Susan Smey, Alma McCool, Nadine Stanton, Lisa Mizrahi, Dawn Seng and Susan H. Smey.

A Memorial Mass was held at The Good Shepherd Catholic Church, Orlando, FL, on Friday, June 27, 2003. Mr. Sterchele remains will be buried at Arlington Cemetery, Washington DC.
